Primo Quarto

Reflecting on all my experiences, this first quarter was very challenging for me. Despite finding ICT challenging, I took pleasure in understanding how the internet was created and discovering the individuals responsible for its development. I also delved into the realm of search engines. Furthermore, I explored the world of blogging, recognizing it as a creative avenue that not only allows for the expression of thoughts and feelings but also serves as a platfrom for connecting with a wider audience. Engaging in the comments section of my schoolmates blogs became an enjoyable activity for me. Some of their blog posts moved me, prompting me to leave motivational comments, encouraging them to strive for excellent consistently.

Recalling numerous dates and names for memorization became a formidable challenge for me. There came a point when my mindset shifted, questioning the value of reviewing with the thought, "Why bother? I'll probably fail anyway". I found myself resigned to the belief that achieving low scores was unavoidable outcome. This perspective cast a shadow over my academic journey, creating a sense of defeat before attempting to improve my understanding of the subject. "What defines me if not my academic achievements?" This fear weighed heavily on me as I was worried that my parents wouldn't pay attention to me if I didn't have notable academic achievements. I perpetually found myself overthinking about my grades, given the consistent occurrence of low scores despite my dedicated efforts in studying. This habit of overthinking consumed my thoughts to the extent that it eventually led to emotional breakdowns.

Struggling with memorizing historical information, I experimented with the Feynman study technique and the Blurting method to overcome the challenge. These two approaches significantly improved my retention. Recognizing the value of collaboration, I turned to friends who excelled in understanding the lessons. Their guidance proved invaluable in enhancing my comprehension, and I'm deeply grateful for their help. The combined efforts not only boosted my understanding of the subject but also strengthened the bonds of friendship among us. Exploring different study techniques allowed me to find what worked best for me, empowering my learning process. Through this experience, I realized the importance of seeking assistance when faced with academic challenges. The willingness of my friends to lend a helping hand highlighted the supportive community within our academic journey. I now approach learning with a more open mind, understanding that diverse strategies and collaboration can make a significant difference. This journey has not only enriched my knowledge but also cultivated a sense of camaraderie and mutual support among my peers.

Moving on, I am dedicated to consistently putting forth my utmost effort in all undertakings. Embracing the realization that failure is an integral aspect of the learning journey, I perceive every setback as a valuable lesson propelling me forward. When confronting challenges, my goal is to nurture resilience and adaptability, interpreting obstacles not as barriers but as stepping stones for both personal and academic development. This change in perspective reinforces an ongoing commitment to self-improvement, cultivating a positive mindset throughout my educational path.
